Away supporters in the home end
There were a lot of scum sitting around me last night. Pissed me right off. STHs not turning up and their re-listed tickets being flogged to anyone with the dosh is getting beyond a joke.

Re: Away supporters in the home end
We've got a group of 5 and if any tickets free we usually offer them out to our mates, firstly to West Ham, then to neutrals but occaisionally if they support the away team (ie, my brother is a Man Utd fan and has come along).

But we draw the line at Spurs and have never allowed a Spurs fan to sit with us. We're good like that.

Anyway, personally, for most games I don't have a real problem with away fans if they are quiet and keep themselves to themselves. But for some reasons the most away fans I've seen in a stadium was Freiberg. They were everywhere and they weren't hiding either.

I remember the 1-4 at the Lane when Steve Jones scored ,hundreds of us in that lower tier of the main stand proper celebrating every goal .

Agree that if you sit in the ‘wrong’ end, then just pipe down and you won’t get dug out.

But anyone who thinks WH always tolerates away fans, maybe you didn’t see what happened against Burnley in the Trevor Brooking stand a couple of games ago. Young bloke got thrown down the whole upper tier stairs and smashed up, presumably for being Burnley.

And against Freiburg away, those West Ham in the ‘home’ section along the side were on those weird UEFA friends and family allocation so legitimately there. Mad UEFA scheme though, will definitely lead to problems.

No Spurs around me at the match but in row behind there was an American bloke who seemed to be there with his two relatives who are STHs. He'd frequently shout "c##t" at the ref/Spurs players and then ask "am I doing it right?" for comedic affect? I liked him. If you're going to be a tourist then you should be joining in like that.

Re: Away supporters in the home end
Years ago at Upton park they would of been ironed out by those around them but these days we play in a soulless morsoleum filled out with day trippers in half and half scarves eating popcorn
On the other hand Im being hypocritical as I have done it myself and still do at Southampton and Villa.
I also regularly purchase resale seats for home games and sit amongst those twats in the upper tiers.
My options are somewhat limited due to work commitments ruling out a season ticket being viable and I won't pay £40 membership for very little benefit.

Nutsin - I like that little tale, pile out at Crewe smash a boozer up then back on train to Euston, fuck me them days are long, long gone, but at least we had them and have the memories. It didn't seem to matter where the fuck you were going up norf the train always seemed to pass through Crewe, one time I actually alighted there as we were playing them in a midweek league cup game, don't ask me what the score was though, I just remember it being fucking freezing.

Re: Away supporters in the home end
Its a very different experience from what i remember, did it a couple of times and it's just not the same.

Bristol city in a mid-week game, years ago and we score, and you want to jump up and down, but don't as obviously you get noticed, then they score, and you just stand their wondering the same if anyone has noticed.

I was only about 16 at the time, maybe a bit of Paranoia going on but remember thinking i don't want to do this again.

I remember the walk under police escort to Anfield from Lime street station back in the 80’s. Bit of an adventure.

I also remember everyone piling out at Crewe station and smashing a boozer up then getting the next train back to Euston, can’t remember if that was Liverpool or Everton away.

This was all before the cameras went up. Bit different these days I’d imagine.

The worst thing about these threads is always the stiffs who show up saying some variation of "but we do it at other grounds, so who are we to complain when it happens to us"

What would you know about it? You’ve never been to a West Ham - spurs game so have zero understanding of experience of it or the “usually repertoire”.

That little Asian kid has a greater understanding of West Ham than you do.

Re: Away supporters in the home end
I had a south east Asian kid sitting next to me last night who I assumed was there with all the others in half and half scarves. I don't think of them as spurs fans really, more fans of the successful compatriot playing in the world's most famous league. A bit like the Mexican flags when Little Pea used to play for us.

Anyway, to my surprise the kid sitting next to me stood up and gave a decent American accented chorus of Bubbles as did several other Americans sitting around me, near the posh seats.

I think it's great to see kids of all different races and countries in their West Ham shirts. It's not just us white Cockneys who love to suffer!

As for the deluded mainly white wankers from Hertfordshire and sadly Essex who I DO consider spurs supporters, they should never be tolerated either in our end or anywhere else for that matter.

Group of West Ham out in Freiburg in the home end twenty or thirty near me (Ferdinand, Harewood, looked like people connected with the club). Got up singing bubbles, much to the enjoyment of the away section, and chants of same old west ham, taking the piss. Few locals not happy. Can we have it both ways?

Fwiw steward almost didn't let me in for the villa game because I had a 1983 shirt on and he saw the "AV" from avco and had to show him the badge to prove it was a west ham shirt and the "av" didn't mean villa

Re: Away supporters in the home end
This again.

As I've said before most of us would or have done this. I've done it repeatedly at Southampton with my saints mate and he often joins me. And done it at other grounds too.

We've bought loads in the leverkusen end for next thura apparently

No issue with it unless you pipe up. Just keep your mouth shut and don't wear colours or make it obvious ny taking pics of the other team. Watch those screen savers too.

We had a gooner sat In front of us during the cup game, we just took the piss a bit.

If they pipe up they get kicked out or any grief they get is on them.

For what it’s worth I told I told the family on my right what I thought of them being there and the woman apologised. Trust me to get polite scum next to me! The dad kept his head down.
